Phra That Doi Kham Temple

This temple was build in 1300 years ago.
History is belong to Queen Cham dhavi and Wasuthep hermit
who are ruler of Haripunchai kingdom. (Older than Lanna Kingdom)
In the history ,Long time ago have 2 Giants preserve this area.
Both 2 giants always killed and ate people around here.
Then, Buddha came here to teach them about Buddhism and they were accepted.
Anyway, Giants still need to eat meat.
In every year, we have to do sacrifice ceremony for them.
More than 10,000 peoples will bring 1 of buffalo to do sacrifice ceremony in
beginning of raining season (June).
They believe that it will rain according to season.
Highlight of this temple is '' Phra Tan jai Buddha “ Thai people believe that if they
make a wish here, their dreams will be come true.
Then, people will bring some jasmine garland to repay for
''Phra Tan jai Buddha''.
That's why it has a lot of Jasmine garland shop on the way to this temple.
