Pansao Temple
History / Highlight
This temple was build in 600 years ago.
This temple has an abandoned pagoda that you can see
through the pagoda.
After Myanmar took over Lanna. It had some people try to steal
something inside this pagoda (Relics, money, gold)
The name of the temple is mean 1000 of molds.
This place use to be the center of the construction Buddha statues.
Almost of Buddha Statue in Chiang Mai was build from this place.
It has '' Phar Buddha Sang Muang Ma ''statue that people believe
if you do respect to this Buddha statue, your health will be well.
The style of temple is completely Lanna architecture.
Vihara is short and it has a sand in font yard.
Once we do New year ceremony in April. We had tradition
“Carrying sand” to temple. Because of we walked in /walked out
a whole year and we took the sand out of the temple.
That ‘s why people create that tradition in order to repay for temple.
